Lincoln University College, Malaysia, established in 2002 as Lincoln College (LC) was awarded the university college status in 2011. Lincoln University College Malaysia is one of the premier private institutions of higher education approved by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). Lincoln University College Malaysia is situated in the cosmopolitan town of Petaling Jaya which is 10 kilometres West of the capital city, Kuala Lumpur.

Accommodation

Lincoln University College Malaysia provides a home away from home comfort for its students with its apartment-style accommodation.

The accommodation is a 5 minutes’ walk from the university college. The bus stop is in front of Kelana Jaya LRT station, which is 5 minutes walking distance from the university. You can go by train or by bus to difference parts of the city.

Every apartment is fully furnished, complete with fans, furniture and basic living necessities. We have single and twin-sharing style units.

Students can enjoy all the facilities of condo living such as swimming pool, badminton and tennis courts, and gymnasium. Hostel rules given by the condominium management and the college must be observed by the students.

Admission Procedures for International Students

Step 1: Complete the Online Application for Admission.

Step 2: You will receive one acknowledgement e-mail.

Step 3: Upload all mandatory documents.

Step 4: Send the form with all the required documents together with the application fees:

Immigration Malaysia (EMGS) fee structure for international students:

  • Student visa application & processing fee: RM1000
  • Medical health examination fee: RM250
  • Insurance fee: RM500
  • Visa sticker fee: RM100

After filled the online application and have been accepted you will receive an offer letter. Once you receive the offer letter, you will be required to pay a total of RM1850/USD625. Lincoln University will not be able to process the application without this payment.

The USD fee is subject to change depending upon Exchange Rate.

After payment, what next?

Step 5: Lincoln University College Malaysia will apply for your student visa in Kuala Lumpur, which will process within 4 to 6 weeks. On receiving the approval letter from the Immigration, Lincoln University College Malaysia will send the photocopy of visa approval. You need to pay the prescribed fees to Lincoln University College Malaysia.

Step 6: Upon receiving the fees, Lincoln University College Malaysia will send the original visa approval.

Step 7: You should make travel arrangements to Malaysia. You must inform Lincoln University College Malaysia about the details of your arrival (Flight no. time of departure, and arrival in KLIA) through online arrival information or via email ( help@educationandjobs.com ).

Step 8: The Lincoln University College Malaysia counsellor will accompany you to the venue of accommodation and brief you about Malaysia and orientation at Lincoln University College Malaysia.

Please note: Tuition fees and other payments must be paid by telegraphic transfer before arrival in Malaysia. You must write your full name and passport number on the telegraphic transfer application form.

How does the credit system work?

The credit transfer system will assist you in calculating how many and what type of credit you will be able to transfer from Lincoln to another institution.

What are credit hours?

Generally a credit assignment of 3 credits is given per course or 3 hours per week of class time. It is based on the number of hours of face to face class time over a period of approximately 14 weeks. This may vary based on the institution.

What is GPA and CGPA?

GPA stands for Grade Point Average. Points are given based on the students’marks. GPA is calculated by taking the number of grade points a student earned in a given period of time divided by the total number of credit taken.

The GPA can be used by potential employers or further post-secondary institutions to assess and compare applicants. A Cumulative Grade Point Average is a calculation of the average of all of a student’s grades for all semesters and courses completed up to a given academic term. For example, semester 1 – GPA is 2.5, semester 2 – GPA is 3.0, CGPA is the total of the two divided by two, 2.75.

LUCLC student who have completed this programme can directly enrol into Lincoln University College Malaysia diploma/degree programmes without sitting for IELTS or TOEFL examination.
